Invisalign aligners — the modern alternative to classic braces
Transparent and flexible for your teeth straightening
With the Invisalign splint system, we guide you step by step to the perfect smile. After a detailed treatment plan has been created, the Invisalign splints are made individually for your teeth. The treatment is carried out in a sequence of several sets of plastic splints, each of which you wear for about two weeks — until the desired tooth position is achieved. State-of-the-art computer technology allows you to virtually see what your teeth will look like after treatment.
Benefits of aligner therapy in everyday life
Since Invisalign splints are made of transparent plastic, they are almost invisible and also offer you optimal comfort without metal wires and brackets. The splints are easy to clean and can be removed to eat, drink, brush your teeth or for special occasions. However, in order to achieve results quickly in the position of the teeth, they should be worn as permanently as possible.
Duration of treatment with aligner splints
How long it takes to successfully complete the treatment depends on the complexity of the tooth straightening. The BISS45 practice team will confidently advise you on how best to reconcile the Invisalign system with your goals.

Frequently asked questions
How do aligners work and how do they differ from classic braces?
Aligners are transparent dental splints that move your teeth gently and almost invisibly into the desired position. You will receive a series of custom-made rails, which you change every 1-2 weeks. Each splint is designed to move your teeth a little further. The big advantage over classic braces: The aligners are virtually invisible and can be easily removed to eat and care for teeth.
When and for how long do I have to wear my aligners?
For best results, wear your aligners 20-22 hours a day. This means that the splints stay in even when sleeping and are only removed for eating, drinking (except water) and dental hygiene. That sounds like a lot at first, but it quickly becomes routine! Many of our patients even forget that they are wearing the aligners — they are so comfortable. The total duration of treatment depends on your individual situation, but is usually between 6 and 24 months. The more carefully you wear the aligners, the faster you will achieve your desired result.
How do I properly care for my aligners and what do I have to consider in everyday life?
Caring for your aligners is very easy: In the morning and evening, clean the splints with a soft toothbrush under lukewarm water. Special cleansing tablets can be used once or twice a week. It is important that you always brush your teeth before inserting the aligners — this will keep the splints clean and hygienic. When eating or drinking (other than water), remove the aligners and store them in their storage box. A practical tip for when you're out and about: Put your toothbrush and storage box in your bag and you're ready for any situation!
Is treatment with aligners painful?
Treatment with aligners is particularly gentle. After every rail change, you may feel a slight feeling of pressure — that's a good sign because it means your teeth are moving! This feeling is usually significantly weaker than with fixed braces and disappears after 1-2 days. A big advantage: There are no brackets and wires that could irritate the oral mucosa. Should a splint ever feel uncomfortable, simply make an appointment with us — we can often make minor adjustments to make it even more comfortable.
What misaligned teeth are aligners suitable for?
Modern aligners can now correct a wide range of misaligned teeth: Gaps, tight spaces, crossbites and many other misalignments can be successfully treated. More complex corrections are also often possible. After your initial consultation and initial diagnosis, we will analyse your individual situation and check whether aligners are suitable for you. Thanks to the latest 3D technology, we can show you directly which results are possible. In some cases, we can even make the treatment even more efficient with small “attachments” (tooth-colored anchor points).
