What are the options for tooth correction?
Modern orthodontics offers a wide range of treatment options for almost every misaligned tooth. From classic fixed braces to almost invisible aligners to lingual braces that are worn from the inside — we will find the right solution for every situation. Even minor corrections are possible with special short-term treatments. In a detailed consultation, we will show you all options that are suitable for your individual situation. We will then decide together which treatment method is best for you.
Am I too old for a tooth straightening?
You're never too old to have a beautiful smile! More and more adults are opting for dental correction — whether for aesthetic or health reasons. Thanks to modern methods of treatment, teeth can be corrected at any age. The only difference: In adults, treatment sometimes takes a little longer than in adolescents, as the bone rebuilds more slowly. For this purpose, you now have particularly unobtrusive treatment options available that can be optimally integrated into your everyday life.
How long does a tooth correction take on average?
The duration of treatment is as individual as your smile! It depends on various factors: the type and severity of the misaligned teeth, the treatment method chosen and, of course, your active participation. Minor corrections can sometimes be completed in just 6 months, while more extensive treatments can take 1.5 to 2 years. At your first appointment, we will prepare a detailed treatment plan and can tell you exactly how long you should expect. The nice thing is: You can usually see the first improvements after just a few months!
How much does a dental correction cost and how can I finance it?
The cost of a tooth correction varies depending on the treatment method and the extent of the corrections required. For children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, the statutory health insurance funds cover a large part of the costs when medically necessary. We offer various financing options for adults — from one-off payments to convenient installment payments. A combination with additional insurance is also possible. In a personal consultation, we will prepare a detailed cost plan for you and find the right financing solution together.
Is tooth correction painful?
Modern orthodontics works with very gentle and controlled forces. In the first few days after a brace has been inserted or after adjustments, the teeth may be somewhat sensitive — this is normal and shows that the treatment is working. However, this feeling subsides quickly. Most of our patients get used to their braces surprisingly quickly. With aligners, the feeling of pressure is usually even gentler. Right from the start, we will give you practical tips on how to deal with any complaints you may have. Plus, we're always here for you if you have any questions or need an adjustment. The joy of the end result definitely makes the short settling phase worth it!
